The Highclere Rocks concert on 20th May 2006 was held in the grounds of Highclere Castle near Newbury, Berkshire (England). The controversial seven-hour concert was supporting the pro-hunt lobbying group The Countryside Alliance in its fight to lift the ban on fox hunting in the UK. The event was billed as a "picnic concert", running from 4pm until 11pm, and headlining The Band Du Lac - featuring Gary Brooker, Mike Rutherford, and Paul Carrack - with special guests including Eric Clapton, Roger Waters, Andy Fairweather Low, Nick Mason, and Georgie Fame. Bryan Ferry only recently joined the bill, making the event one of the most exciting line-ups of the summer and bringing together the driving forces behind Roxy Music, Cream and Pink Floyd.
