Geetarz Comments:

This excellently packaged boxset on the Mid Valley label chronicles a number of benefit and charity concerts held in the fall of 1993 featuring Eric Clapton and Joe Cocker. Disc 1, tracks 1-4, were recorded at Cowdray Park, Sussex, on September 18, 1993. The performance sounds a bit unrehearsed and isn't up to the standards of those found during the tour of Japan later that year. Disc 1, tracks 5-10, and Disc 2, were all recorded at the NEC Birmingham on October 1, 1993. This performance is tasty, not incendiary, and the only really standout performance is that found on the aforementioned "Midnight Lamp". Discs 3 and 4 were recorded at the Sheffield Arena, Sheffield, on October 3, 1993. This is by far the finest of the three performances, and worthy in its own right.
