Comments: Kudos to the Beano crew for tidying up and remastering a couple very tasty audience recordings from the third and fourth performances of the 1985 "Behind the Sun" tour. These above average audience recordings are quite enjoyable, and depending on where one listens can near soundboard at times. These performances early on the tour may lack some of the fire and fury found later, when the band settled into the material a bit more, but they make up for that shortcoming since they approach the setlist with a freshness and relish that would disappear as the miles rolled by. Of note are a splendid rendtion of the unfortunately rarely-performed "Just Like a Prisoner" at the 1 March show, and an understated "Behind the Sun" (one of EC's most underrated compositions) at the 2 March show. Nicely performed, tastily packaged, and good stuff all 'round. Recommended. ![]()
