A mostly disposable collection of covers, any of which pale in comparison of the originals. Nothing really new or original presented here, with the exception of an excellent live performance of "East West".

"I can't beleive the "Droppin' In" boot was dismissed as "disposble volume of covers..."!! This was/is the Holy Grail for Butterfield fans. We had to wait over 30 years to get sb's of the band; and the fact that they're from the Fillmore West is icing on the cake. Paul B.B.B. keyboardist Mark Naftalin released 2 cds of the band shortly before Droppin In'; and they are killer as well [from Mark's personal tape collection]. The Mike B. book has a cd that has rarities as well. I can get the date on that Jeff Beck London 71 vs. '72 show if anyone wants it contact me."
