More than fifty years after his death, Gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt is still influencing musicians around the world. Investigating Django’s swinging legacy and the cult that surrounds his work, filmmaker Jamie Kastner conducts a musical world tour ranging from Oslo to Tokyo (where he discovers dueling Django tribute bands). Both a celebration of the man Duke Ellington said was the only non-American to make an impact on jazz, and an investigation into the nature of fandom, DJANGOMANIA! is a delightful salute to Django and his art.
