Washington, D.C. - October 11, 2004 - Geetarz 205/6/7/8

Comments: Proving once and for all that the old adage, "shut the fuck up and play yer geetar" is as relevant as ever in the 21st centuty, there gathered on stage at the end of the 2004 U.S. presidental election cycle a group of the most self-important blowhards in rock music. They were all there: Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, the always whiney Dave Matthews, the ever annoying Michael Stipe, The Dixie Chicks (the two hot ones AND the fat one who can sing), Eddie Vedder (the one vocalist even more annoying than Stipe and Matthews), John Fogerty, and of course, Da Bozz himself. Here's an idea, folks ... just a friendly hint ... let your songs speak for themselves. If you can't get your point across with your art, then shut the fuck up and rewrite the song. If you folks weren't so righteously self-important, you'd realize that you are every bit as annoying as musicians on the other side of the political spectrum like the insufferable Ted Nugent, who also needs to Shut the Fuck Up and Play His Geetar ™.
