Pete Townshend - The Fillmore
San Francisco, Ca. - April 30, 1996 - Geetarz 264 - DVD-R1
Geetarz Comments:
Recorded at the Fillmore in San Francisco, this video captures Pete Townshend on one stop of his short acoustic tour in the spring of 1996. Supported only by Jon Carin on keyboards, the Who frontman put on a sweet collection of originals and Who songs, with special mention of a fantastic "Split Skirts" and a dynamic "Heart to Hang Onto". The soundboard audio from this performance was broadcast as a radio show and later released on bootlegs such as Acoustic Magic, and then later officially released by Pete on his Eel Pie label. DVD-R1 from c. 4th generation VHS. Syncronizing this video with the soundboard audio is definitely on the "future projects" list!
