G'day Slowhand Fans,

This week's MP3 of the Week is "St. James Infirmary", as performed by EC and
Dr. John on VH1 Duets. Recorded on Sept. 5, 1996 at the Roseland Ballroom
in NYC. Eric and DJ make an incredible pair, and prove it on this number.
Wish their paths would cross more often! Hop over to www.msu.edu/~ritterj3
to download the file.

Take care,
Josh Ritter

Trio's website is at http://www.triotv.com. According to that and
Rockontv.com, they are owned and operated by USA Cable and are "an
entertainment cable television program service emphasizing all of the
popular arts: music, dance, theater, film, with events, performances and
specials." That actually sounds alot better than their schedule on their
website actually looks -- lots of re-runs!!

On Trio's website schedule, it reports that on Thursday, November 8th, there
was a 2 hour program now just labeled: "ERIC CLAPTON/LOU REED"

You know, come to think of it ... I was just looking up "Lou Reed" at
Rockontv, and it occurs to me that I remember reading the "ERIC CLAPTON/LOU
REED" entry last week. The new entry on Rockontv involving Lou Reed now is:
"Lou Reed / Jefferson Starship" and appears to be two different concerts
edited and sandwiched together back-to-back. Maybe that's what this "ERIC
CLAPTON/LOU REED" thing was. I seem to remember that the EC part was filmed
in NY, and I remember thinking, "Oh, its probably "EC and Friends". But,
with your discription, I'm now wondering if it wasn't "Bobfest", as it is
the only Lou Reed entry that came up when I searched the Tourography. And
it WAS done in N.Y. and in 1992, when he had longer hair.

On Wednesday, November 28th, from 09:00 am - 11:00 am ET they will be doing
the "Lou Reed / Jefferson Starship" thing, and I wonder if that isn't the
concert that will be replayed. The Lou Reed concert was filmed at "The
Bottom Line" in New York City, but it doesn't say the date.

To all my So Cal. friends,
For an evening of music and fun. My band "Blue Sky" will be back at Rocky's
playing from
9pm-1am. Rocky's Bar & Grill in Lebec, CA (just 1 block west of I-5
at Frazier Park exit) on Sat. Nov. 17th.
Blue Sky specializes in Rock and Blues music made famous by artists like:
The Allman Brothers Band, Eric Clapton, The Doors, Creedence,
Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, JJ Cale, Santana and more.
Rocky's is 35 minutes north of the Valencia (Magic Mountain) area.
Up here in the mountains there is a lot of great motorcycle riding, ATV,
Mountain bike and hiking trails so make an adventure out of it, or just
come out for a night of fun. Hope to see you there!
