Inquiring minds want to know, I believe was the question posed.

Well,Eric has been a legend for such a long time and from such a tender
young age I don't think it matters a tinkers damn what any of us think
about the various phases of his life and music. Each fan has his favorite
phase.

On another note here's a heads up for a good read. I highly recommend:
Jeff Beck Crazy Fingers by Annette Carson

Here is a side bar on Jeff Beck circa fall of 1973 from the above mentioned
book.

If Jeff was retrenching and rethinking his true métier, so equally was Eric
Clapton, Having formed Cream and Blind Faith, both of which broke up in
disarray, by 1970-71 Clapton had resigned the role of guitar hero and found
solace in the relative anonymity of larger bands. With Derek & The Dominos
he recorded Layla, arguably the greatest performance of his career, and
then retreated to do battle with his encroaching heroin habit.

When he emerged once more, it was to appear chiefly as a singer playing
tasteful guitar in a relaxed, economical country blues style which appealed
to a mainstream audience. The frightening brilliance had been left behind,
but commercial success was the not unwelcome compensation.

On another note I like to say THANKS to all the folks who traded with me
in 2001.

reminded me of a cd I have (glass master) of the following:

New Years Greetings, Slowhanders!

This week's MP3 deals with something that I think of when I think about a
new year - looking forward into the future. This version of Further On Up
the Road, taken from "The Legendary LA Forum Show," was recorded on Aug 15,
1975. It's not up to the caliber with the Freddie King/EC duo as found on
the "Blues" official release, but it's still great nonetheless. I hope
everyone has a great and prosperous new year! Cheers!

Take care,
Josh Ritter

Hi all,

as far as I know, it has been released once somewhere and quickly disappeared,

Now it has been released here, but as a single disc containing only the
Status Quo, MK, EC and EJ concerts;

Happy 2002,

Andre

Hi all,

Some people have asked for more details about the KNEBWORTH DVD release :

- The Company that licensed it is called "DT editora", as far as I known
they don`t have a web site. There isn`t a catalogue number on it

- IT IS A ***OFFICIAL RELEASE***;

- It has been released under the title of "Stars Live, the best live
concert ever" - only vol 2.
So, if anyone out there want to search on line for it, enter the word
"Stars live",  not Knebworth.

- It has DD 5.1 track, but NOT DTS;

- It`s code free, NTSC;

- MK performs : MfN, Solid Rock and ITILYTM - well known concert;

- EC performs Before you accuse me and Tearing us apart

- EJ performs Sad songs and sacrifice

- there`s also the Status Quo set;

- There are Portuguese subtitles, Photo gallery and a nice Biography of EC
and all others - but in PORTUGUESE.

- It`s obvious that the DT EDitora Company has licensed only vol 2 of the
prior version, as on the beggining of it it appears on the screen "Volume
2". It`s obvious that a 3 DVD set complete exist or has existed sometime
somewhere around the world;

- It exists a 3 VCD official version, released in Asia, as always;

Happy 2002,

Andre

It looks like all groups on Audiogalaxy were deleted
as of Jan 1st 2002. I recreated the SLOWHAND group,
which by Dec 31st 2001 had 55 members. Please
(re)join!

Best wishes for the new year!
