Good day SDers -

First off, I realized sometime late this week that I hadn't let the
Digest know what the MP3 of the Week is this week. I still, however,
had many visitors to the site so I don't think it was that big of a
deal. But, I might as well annouce it while I'm taking up the
bandwidth. Black Cat Bone is the selection this week, from Nov. 28,
1994 at Irving Plaza Club (aka Club Full of Blues - the best EC blues
recording ever, IMO). This was a rare treat for those lucky enough to
attend the show, as I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) this was the
only venue EC performed this tune. And what a fantastic job he did!
The track will be up until sometime Monday, if I'm actually back on the
ball this week. http://www.msu.edu/~ritterj3

Now for the intended content....a friend sent me River of Tears from
Budokan 12/4/01 in mp3 format this evening. WOW. I must say, this is a
very impressive recording. If some kind soul would get ahold of me to
set up a trade (I know, I know...it says on my site that I'm not
trading, but this is good enough to make an exception!) I would greatly
appreciate it. I have the one other soundboard from the Reptile tour,
Buenos Aires on Oct. 6, 2001, besides many, many other shows. To follow
in line with recent tradition, I will gladly offer the boot up to the
first 3 members to contact me @ ritterj3@msu.edu.

Thanks in advance,
Josh Ritter

Could someone please point me to a good audio extraction program?
Preferably with MP3 encoding as well. I recently upgraded to Windows
2000, and Audiocatalyst, the program I used to use, isn't compatible.

Thanks,
Josh Ritter

There is an interview with Lee Dickson about EC's gear in the current issue
of the ToneQuest Report, an upscale magazine for guitar players. You can
read it online at:

Cheers,
Mark
