Hey Gang,

That's rather alarming news that Climie was behind the mixing board in
Japan. After Retail Therapy, my personal wish is that he never gets
near EC's boards again! ;-)

I've started to have problems when using EasyCD Creator to make copies of
CDs. (I drag and drop the tracks from the original into the application
window and use disc-at-once for live CDs). I'm getting skips in the copies.
This happens even after a reboot with no other apps running. Does anyone
have any suggestions of things to look at? I defragmented my C drive but
this has not helped. I've tried reducing the recording speed to the
minimum. Any suggestions?

Many thanks,

Rick

Hi,

are there any good recordings of the U.S. Reptile shows, where the incessant talking of the audience is kept down to a gentle roar?

Ken

Hi friends -

May I ask, and forgive my ignorance, was Alphi the
curly light-haired chap that worked for Eric ?

He can be seen at the very beginning of the video,
Eric Clapton and Friends, the '86 Birmingham w/Phil
Collins just after Eric walks out and Phil makes a
joke about leaving him out there..."ok, lads...back to
the hotel." Is that Alphi standing there, laughing ?
If not...who was that ?

Thanks

David

hi all:

around the 2 minute mark of going down slow, the bridge is very reminiscent
of "while my guitar gently weeps". for those that have other boots of the
japan tour, was this arrangement performed for other japan shows, or just
the 12/4 show that mentioned the passing of george harrison? i am guessing
since rehearsals are usually conducted before each new leg of a tour, and
the song arrangements are tweaked at that time for that particular section
of the tour, they probably played the song this way at all venues. just
wondering.

also, EC uses a little riff during "she's gone" that is from a 70's pop song
i havent figured out yet. its on the tip of my brain, and when i figure it
out i will let you know.

cya,

Hi all,

DeltaNick was so kind as to direct me to look at the
pamphlet enclosed with Jools' cd for the lyrics for
each song, including VALENTINE MOON!

Sure enough it was there and I feel stupid for not
looking there before I asked! I had just transfered
the cd into my car cd case and not looked at the
booklet before. . .

I had thought the French lyric was almost a direct
translation of the first English one with a slight
variation at the end. I was partly right, it is the
exact translation, no variation. Very nice song, and
apt for the Valentine season. . .

Thanks to all who responded ~ Ishraq ~
