I completely agree with the MP3 view point expressed in the last SD I
recieved. I have in the past DLed and kept some MP3's. Then I got
serious about digital music and exchanging it. If you have MP3's and
want to trade, cool, let it be known in the lineage of the music, there
is a MP3 generation, and wether it is 128bit or 256bit conversion. If
you've made serious investments in Audio Equipment, the difference
between a copy of a show with a MP3 generation, against a SBD>MR>DAT of
the same show, anyone should know. It's like anything else, it's nice
to nw what you are getting.

>>>Sometime last year, a similar question appeared in the American "Parade"
magazine (the magazine that shows up in your driveway in the colored section
of your Sunday newspaper).

I'm not sure, but this award makes it something like 16 for Clapton. The
record, around 31 if I remember correctly, was by some obscure musician who
works behind the scenes on movie scores. However, Clapton, if I'm not
mistaken, has been presented with more Grammy awards than most of the
world's popular musicians.<<<<<<<<<

As a matter of fact Eric is tied for 2nd with the most Grammys by a solo artist in one
year with 6. Michael Jackson has 7.

It's funny all those years and not being recognized and and now every thing he puts out........

Hi there fellow Clapton-freaks,
As I was quilty for starting this Budokan 2001 offer, I should know
the source for this recording. But I don't know. I got it from a
trade very soon after the show. I quess it's a "private" recording
from the TV-broadcast and not any of this bootlegs. As many of you
have noticed, it's a mono recording, but anyway the music is great.
My original idea was to beat the bootleggers in a fast non-profit
distribution. I hate the idea of paying crazy sums of money to
somebody for illegal recordings. Of course it's nice, that somebody
puts out these "field-recordings", but to trying to make money on
somebody's art without permission is totally wrong. On the otherhand
I have to admit, that for instance Mid Valley's releases are mostly
great, but still they're illegal. So I hope we'll continue to do non-
profit sharing of these recordings of the music we love.
That said, I'd like to setup a trade for Mid Valley's Groovy Pink
Shirt-bootleg, just to hear how they have mixed the Budokan show,
although I think Reptile-tour did hit the peak during the European
leg. Clapton and the band were really hot on most of those gigs.
Sadly no soundboards from Europe 2001 have been around.
Here's an URL to my trading-list:
